New Aquarium


Use the recommended dose of ReefFuel, start with 0.5 ml of ReefFuel per 100 liters of seawater daily. This can be increased according to demand. At the same time add a small amount of food to the aquarium, any type of food is fine, dry & frozen. In the beginning, the water system is still in a sterile state and needs to be given the correct bacteria to transform, decompose and remove waste. ReefFuel has the strongest carbon source that naturally occurs in nature and carefully selected bacterial mixture with unique characteristics. When No3 and Po4 in the water body reach the optimal value, No3 is between 2-10 and Po4 is between 0.02-0.10, you can add corals and fish to the tank! It is not recommended to reduce the value of No3 and Po4 to 0. If the value is too low, please add No3 and Po4, or increase the feeding.


The aquarium in operation, but not using any maintenance system:


While keeping the values of KH, Ca and Mg stable, you can gradually add ReefElixer until it reaches the ideal amount suitable for your aquarium ecosystem. You can start by adding 1 ml per 100 liters of seawater and pay close attention to the values of KH, Ca, and Mg. If there is a significant drop, the amount of ReefElixer can be increased, and if there is a significant increase, then the amount can be reduced. Other elements needed for coral growth do not need to be monitored. When the values of KH, Ca and Mg are stable, the corresponding other trace elements will also reach their ideal values. ReefElixer has a startup time of roughly 3 weeks and reaches is peak performance at 6 weeks. Due to the nature of our products we need the bacteria to breed and colonize in the aquarium so they can convert ingredients in ReefElixer to the trace elements that corals need.

There are two ways to change to our method


The first method is to completely replace the system all at once. It is adjusted by monitoring the values of Kh and Ca daily. In the first three weeks of system switching, the amount of ReefElixer needs to be adjusted according to the monitoring results. If KH and Ca are out of balance, manual correction is advised.


-KH is too low and the value of Ca is right, add KH.

-CA is too low and the kh is right, add CA.


After 3 weeks, KH and CA will be balanced. There will also be a good diversity in bacteria with many beneficial effects on corals and fishes. Most reef elixir users choose this method because it is the fastest conversion method.


The second method is to switch gradually. By reducing the current dose by 1/4 each week, and detecting the relationship between the value changes of KH and Ca and the dose of ReefElixer, the appropriate dose ratio is found. This process also takes three weeks until ReefElixer starts to exert its effects. The water body reaches the balance of all indicators. 5 ml per 100 liter water raises the dkh by 1 if maximum potential of ReefElixer is reached.


Monitor the values of KH, Ca and Mg in the current water body. The target value is KH 8-9 (between 7-12 is acceptable, but not ideal) Ca 400-450, Mg 1200-1350, No3 2-10, Po4 0.02- 0.1. Don't worry about the other elements.


The aquarium is in operation, and the aquarium is not running properly:


First use ReefFeul and start adding it at a ratio of 0,5-1 ml per 100 liters of seawater. Monitor the values of No3 and Po4, increase or decrease accordingly, until the balance is reached.


After this stage, ReefElixer can be added, starting from adding 1 ml per 100 liters of seawater per day. Monitor the KH and Ca valuesuntil they stabilize.


After three weeks, when ReefElixer starts to work, your aquarium can start to operate normally, the health of corals and fish will be significantly improved, algae can be effectively controlled, and the water body will become clearer. ReefElixer will activate in the aquarium to improve the diversity of micro organisms and the ecosystem.


A perfect parameters is not the most important thing for a healthy aquarium. The stability brought by the bacteria and the natural ecosystem created by microorganisms is our goal. The diversity of beneficial microorganisms can effectively control and prevent harmful organisms and convert them into beneficial substances that can improve the immune system of corals and fish.
